Rambling (and I'm NOT talking about taking a walk in the woods picking berries!)

Hello! It's been far too long since my last update but, no-one probably reads this anyway and not much has honestly happened!
Anyway, I suppose I should update this more often so that when I'm 70, and I have alzheimer's, I can look back at my legacy and go "Who the fuck is this guy? Actually, who the fuck are you, how'd you get in and why are you showing me this!?"

So, without delay...

TODAY
Pretty boring on the skin of it to be honest! However, I wouldn't be writing about it unless SOMETHING happened!
Bearing in mind that the branch I work at closes at 5:30pm, a guy walked in today at 4pm and spoke to Ashton regarding a job application.

His first question was:
"I'm looking for work, do you have any jobs available?"
Obviously, in our profession their are two types of work he could be looking for...
1. Office work (There's only two of us but, we're so pimp, we're all that's needed!)
2. On road work (If he's a PDI or an ADI instructor, he could be looking at joining our army err... I mean fleet!)

Anyway, he was after option one and Ashton explained that their were no vacancies to which his reply was:
"Well, I better speak to your manager 'cos she'll know more than you."
I had to but in and play "deputy" to make him go away which was probably the biggest mistake I made with any stranger... but, never again.

Current affairs guy as I'll now call him decided he wanted to talk about:
Crime
The state of the government
The state of the country
Unemployment
Drugs
Education
Food
Tesco
Ageism
Racism
Sexism
Maternity leave entitlement
Specialised job roles
Company management
The police
Staff management
Economic climate
Banking and bankers (yes, BANKers)
My job and the length of time I've been in it
The NHS
Foreign countries
Immigrants
Computers... Read more
Ilford, Barking and Walthamstow
Inner and outer London pay differences
C.V's
The war in Iraq
The army in general
£5 car washes and how many people it takes to wash a car etc... and the list goes on!

Anyhoo, he decided he was going to keep talking until I closed the store and he even kept checking his watch and asked "You shut at 5:30 don't you?".
I ended up pretending to answer the phone and he just stood there waiting for me and when I did actually answer the phone to a customer, he started talking at me!! I decided to just drew out the conversation and ignore him which eventually made him leave :P

On a plus though, I ordered a "Naruto: Hidden Leaf Village" baseball cap from Hong Kong on Sunday 12th Apr... and got it today! Less than 7 working days! WOW!
